We are incredibly proud to share the success of our recent tree planting initiative, where our dedicated youth participants stepped up to make a tangible difference in our community’s landscape!

Planting Seeds of Change

• Hands-On Participation: Our young team members were actively involved in every step of the process, from preparing the soil to planting the saplings, contributing to the greening of our neighbourhood.
• Skill Development: A huge thank you to the Horticulturist who joined us on site! They provided invaluable mentorship, sharing essential skills and knowledge on proper planting techniques, soil enrichment (as seen with the application of nutrients!), and the long-term care required for the trees to thrive. This hands-on learning is an investment in our youth and our environment.

Sustaining the Greenery

The project doesn’t end with planting! Our team is committed to the landscaping maintenance that ensures a healthy, beautiful environment:

• Cleaning and Upkeep: We are focused on the continuous cleaning and upkeep of the area around the newly planted trees, ensuring the ground is free of debris and the saplings have the best chance at growth.
• Health and Vitality: Learning to properly maintain the soil and surrounding area is crucial for the trees’ health and long-term vitality, transforming these spaces into lush, welcoming zones.

This initiative is a beautiful example of how community projects can blend environmental stewardship with youth empowerment and skill-building. The trees we plant today will provide shade and beauty for generations to come, grown by the hands of our future leaders!
