Ariobex

Ariobex Foundation has Section 18A Tax Exemption status.

This means that for every donation made to the foundation, we will issue an “S18A Tax Exemption Receipt.”

This official receipt allows the donor—whether an individual or a company—to claim a tax deduction for their contribution from the South African Revenue Service (SARS).

A Practical Example of Your Tax Benefit

10% of Sponsors R500 000,00 annual income

Here is how your taxable income and final tax liability are reduced when you donate:

  1. Assume a company has a taxable income of R500 000. At a corporate tax rate of 27%*, its tax liability would be R135 000.
  2. The company generously donates R50 000 to the Ariobex Foundation. (Which is 10% of their R500 000,00 annual income)  We issue a Section 18A certificate for this amount.
  3. The company deducts the donation amount from its taxable income: R500,000 – R50,000 = R450 000 (new taxable income).
  4. The company’s tax liability is now calculated on this new, lower amount: R450,000 x 27% = R121 500.
  5. Through this donation, the company has reduced its tax payment by R13 500 (R135,000 – R121,500), directly benefiting from its support of our work.

*Note: This example uses the corporate income tax rate for the 2024 financial year. The benefit will vary based on the donor’s specific tax bracket.

Be a cornerstone of our lasting legacy.
